No. Gast works without any signup, email address, or account creation. Open the app, add your programme balances, and you are done — no credentials are ever requested.

Three ways, none of which require your login. Screenshot OCR: take a screenshot of your airline or hotel app showing your balance and Gast reads the number automatically. Google Sheet import: already track points in a spreadsheet? Import it to Gast in one step. Manual entry: type your balance directly — about ten seconds per programme. There is no auto-sync and no credential scraping; your balances update when you choose to update them.

Gast is iOS-only — a native app, not a web wrapper, built so the experience is exceptional on the platform our audience uses most. An Android version is not planned for the initial launch.

Never. Gast does not request your passwords and has no mechanism to store them. Your balances are added via screenshot OCR, Google Sheet import, or manual entry. No login is ever attempted on any airline, hotel, or card programme on your behalf. This is a structural design decision, not just a policy: read-only import without credentials means there is no credential on our servers to leak, and no sync tool to break when a programme adds two-factor authentication.

Yes. All Gast data is stored on EU-resident infrastructure — a deliberate design decision, not a regional compliance formality. Because Gast does not store credentials, there is no sensitive login data on our servers regardless. Your points balances are the data we hold, and that data stays in the EU.

Yes, completely and immediately. Under GDPR you have the right to erasure. Gast’s delete function removes all your data from our systems permanently — there is no "deactivation", deletion means deletion. Because Gast does not require an account, you can also simply delete the app; your data is not retained on our servers indefinitely if you are inactive.

Avios is a shared currency. Points earned through British Airways, Iberia Plus, Aer Lingus, Finnair Plus, Vueling, Qatar Privilege Club, and Barclays Avios all sit in a single Avios balance. Earn Iberia Avios and BA Avios and you are adding to the same pool — redeemable with any of those airlines, subject to award availability and routing. Gast reflects this: instead of seven separate balances (how most trackers show it), Gast consolidates all Avios-earning programmes into one total, the way collectors actually think about their points.

Gast shows your total worth in any of 15 home currencies — the display currency for the value layer, not the number of programmes: EUR, USD, GBP, CHF, SEK, NOK, DKK, PLN, CZK, HUF, RON, CAD, AUD, JPY, and NZD. This is available in the free tier. Rates are curated and updated regularly — not live market rates.

Most loyalty programmes expire points after a period of account inactivity — typically 12 to 36 months. Gast’s expiry engine tracks the inactivity clock for every programme you add, and sends a local notification alert at 90, 30, and 7 days before the threshold so you can act before they are lost. Common rules: Avios expire after 36 months of inactivity (any earning or spending resets the clock); Flying Blue after 24 months of inactivity; Miles & More after 36 months. Gast uses local notifications at launch, not push alerts. Always verify each programme’s current terms and conditions, as rules change.

Yes — the whole wallet is free. No account required. The free tier includes unlimited programmes (import rate limits apply, but no programme cap), your total estimated worth, Avios-as-one-balance, the shareable total-worth card, the expiry engine with local alerts (90/30/7 days), 15 home currencies, and basic import (paste / CSV / single-tab Sheet URL). Gast Plus (€2.99/mo or €29.99/yr) adds the AI and automation layer: Screenshot/OCR import, AI cleanup ("Tidy up with Plus"), email-statement import, the deterministic Points-or-Cash verdict, and the AI Advisor (~50 messages/day).

Gast uses curated cents-per-point (CPP) data for each programme, maintained by the Gast team and updated regularly. For each programme we publish a value range: Low is the cash redemption baseline (statement credit, low-value hotel stays); Average is the typical travel redemption value; High is premium-cabin award redemptions. Your total is your balance multiplied by the average CPP per programme, converted into your chosen currency. It is a curated estimate, not a live API rate — and the AI Advisor and Points-or-Cash verdict use the same data for booking-specific advice.

The AI Advisor reads your portfolio and answers questions about your points in plain language — which programme offers the best value for a trip to Tokyo? Is it worth spending my Avios on this flight, or paying cash? When should I use my Flying Blue miles before they lose value? It uses Gast’s curated programme value data to give you a specific answer for your specific situation, not generic advice. The Advisor is part of Gast Plus.
