THE STORY

I'm Jakke — and I built the points tracker I couldn't find.

I'm Jakke — Jakob Bourhil. I grew up just outside Stockholm, with a Swedish mother and a Moroccan father. Every summer meant two weeks in Málaga, then two months in Morocco with family, and a string of European trips besides. I was on planes long before I had any reason to think about what the miles were worth.

At nineteen I moved to Norway for my first sales job, which meant flying regularly for work. A couple of years later I started a web agency in Östersund. Company travel, client trips, goal-reward flights — that's where the points-and-miles obsession properly took hold, over about five years of accumulating and mostly not knowing what I had.

I eventually moved back to Stockholm, met my partner, worked in sales at a few places, then joined a SaaS company as the bridge between the commercial and technical side — I'm both a developer and in sales, which turned out to be a useful combination. The company had an exit. I was hooked on SaaS, and I've been a serial founder since — some things working, some not. My partner and I moved to Málaga, a city I'd been coming to since childhood, and I rejoined my old web agency remotely.

Two months into the trip, I tried AwardWallet for about ten minutes — and deleted it.

In spring 2025, my partner and I set off to travel the world together. First flight: MAD → BKK. Two months in, I deleted AwardWallet, sketched out something I called Flajt, and then shelved it. Six or seven months later, on a quiet evening in Åland, the idea came back. This time I did the research properly. Flajt became Gast: iOS-only, no credentials, EU-first, focused on the programmes European collectors actually use.

Gast tracks all five of the programmes I collect — Flying Blue, EuroBonus, RevPoints, Amex Membership Rewards, and Marriott Bonvoy. I use it every time I'm deciding whether to spend my points or pay cash.

THE BRIEF I GAVE MYSELF

No credentials. No account. No US-centric assumptions.

Just show me what my points are worth — and tell me before they expire.

No credentials

Balances come in by screenshot, Sheet, or hand. There's no login to share — so there's nothing to leak, and no sync to break when a programme adds 2FA.

No account

Open Gast and start. No signup wall, no password to set, nothing to log into before you see your points.

EU-first, not US-centric

European programmes, modelled the way they actually work — Avios as one shared balance across six airlines and Barclays.

BUILD IN PUBLIC

Built in the open, with the people who'll use it.

Gast is being built openly. I share the decisions I'm making, the data I'm finding, and the things that aren't working yet — on LinkedIn and Reddit.

If you're a frequent flyer with opinions about what a points tracker should do, I want to hear from you.

EU-NATIVE BY CONVICTION

Your data stays in the EU. Because it should.

Gast stores all data on EU-resident infrastructure. There's no business reason for your points-portfolio data to leave European soil — so it doesn't.

GDPR delete is a real feature, not a legal footnote: it removes your data immediately and completely. This isn't a requirement we comply with reluctantly. It's how we think the product should work.
